  1. Looking to be real...Soon this will be a kiddie site. Then we shall see how much money they will spend?!?!? Strongly feel that Yahoo ADULT Groups will go away very soon.

Groups owners need to start ramping up their own sites and building a member list for themselfs. We did this and now have profiles, forums and live chat for our members.

this is not new rules, it's an old myth.

profiles has nothing to do with groups and groups will not be shut down having anything to do with a profile.

profiles are not  related to groups. many have profiles and don't even belong to one group at all. this is where that long time myth comes from connecting profile to groups. they are two different things. untll Yahoo announces per team blog, no one should assume they're going to change anything with adult groups but I'd personally think they may some time in the future.

    this is a profile issue.

  3. That my friend is today's $64,000 question.

It would seem they would have to close them since kids might start invading the adult groups because group owners can not check to make sure if the person is really an adult or not.

  4. It should .......as if its harming kids......or all adults should take care not to post bad stuff on the groups........

  5. If not on April  9, then soon after, mark my words.

It's a shame that being an Adult and having Adult interests is such a taboo on Yahoo.  There has always been "Adult" areas of Yahoo, not just sexual.  "Adult" groups discuss politics, religion, life.  There are other Adult interests besides s*x but Yahoo makes no distinction so has decided to throw out the baby with the bath water.  It's a shame and it's ridiculous.

I'm going to give Google Groups a try.
