Is Yahoo "unAmerican" and like the McCarthy witchhunts in its attitudes?

Yahoo's thin-skinned report monkeys deleted my excellent question "Does the US need an ''enemy" or bogeyman in order to function?"

It was a very sensible question calling for thoughtful answers of which there were many. What is Yahoo afraid of?

I'm a not a fan of yours, but I think your question was a good one.

I think the US does need a bogeyman to function; without one, we have nothing to focus on and the nationalism goes to the wayside, as people focus fully on their lives.

Besides, war is profitable.

I don't like that any of this is true, but I think it is.

It's software, Celtish, not a government conspiracy. You know things are getting bad when people start imagining conspiracies about conspiracies. It's called paranoia. As the Kinks said, there's a little green man in your head.

The attitude of the Y!A report monkeys amazes me sometI'mes, im starting to get used to valid and well thought out questions just disappearing in the time I have taken to answer....wonder yours is still gonna be there

If they deleted your question, wouldn't that make Yahoo PRO-American?

Anyways, I don't know why it was deleted but you'd find plenty of questions like that in the Politics section. Maybe someone here just didn't find it appropriate?

Hi celtish.  I, too get frustrated when perfectly good questions are deleted.  I have several in my private watch list that I would like to see re-submitted.

Seems like the thought police are uncomfortable with the critical thinking that goes outside the lines.  But don't let that stop you.

by asking questions like that is like saying you will blow something up it causes controversy and yahoo does not want to be blamed for what you have started by asking such questions. cotroversy is a v powerful thing that starts wars and this is why american society is the way it is. and it is not like the McCarthy witchhunts that was about communism.

no freedom of speech here my friend. americans are fed enemies by their goverment. the film "sicko" by michael moore gives great insight as to what their leaders are really up to.
