Is Yahoo really going to scrap 360 within the next year?

If Yahoo is really going to get rid of Yahoo360, are they going to start something to replace it? Will it still be free or will it go the route of almost ALL the other services and cost money? Or will we be stuck with the plain old profiles?

  1. Y!360 is transitioning into a different social networking platform in early 2008. Yahoo is trying to centralize its profiling services - Y!Mash, Y!360, and the regular Members profile - into one. See http://blog.360.yahoo.com/product_360 for more ACCURATE details.

They have not mentioned charging for the service.

  2. We are all waiting for the NEW site to be announced and hopefully it will be soon. Yes, 360 is closing down soon. And they have said it will be a new site, NOT Mash. They are planning on combining all the sites into one. They have already announced that back in october but have not provided any new info since that time.

  3. It will soon be replaced with Mash. Mash is currently in beta and is free. It is by invitation only. You can follow the status of 360 here:
