Still in business and working with Google on some partnerships. This has led the US Congress to question some of the tracking that all the big search/ad providers do to target ads based on where you have previously surfed. So now they are looking to make it necessary to "opt-in" to allow this tracking, instead of having to opt out.

So yes, after Microsoft's failed bid Yahoo manages to maintain its current foothold.

this is kinda short but to the point if they sold..we wouldnt be using yahooanswers.com right now

they're still in business and haven't sold yet.. because a deal couldn't be reached..too many people disagreed about the sum on how much yahoo should have been or could be sold..

I know because I live in California (Bay Area) and Yahoo offices and Headquarters are 30 min away
