Is Year 10 too late to join a New Highschool?

I've been homeschooled for a year and would it be too late to join now?

It's not too late to join a new high school.

You can join all the way until your last semester of senior year.

People do it all the time whenever they move and such.

If you're concerned about the academic aspect of this transition, talk with your parents and the school's guidance counselor about your concerns. You'll most likely find that it's not a big deal.

Don't be afraid of new opportunities.

Be yourself and be confident.

no you still have a chance to go into a new school but when you go into 11th im afraid it's to late ...if your in 10th grade noww...yeah you still have a chance

Are you in Oz?? If so, I don't know how it'd fit in with your doing the school certificate - depends what you've been doing at home and how, I reckon. I can't see it having any effect on your doing the HSC though if that's what you want to do.

('course saying all this I've been home-educated all my life except for five weeks at a private school in year 3 and have no idea whether or not I'm going to do the HSC so maybe you should just ignore my opinion, lol!)

No, my neighbor was home schooled thru the 10th grade he attended the public school for 11th and 12th

well no you should join highschool if you really want to, but this is only my opinion i would rather get home school if you more friends join a sports team

No, not at all. I've had friends who moved to my high school when I was in year 10 a few years back and they fitted in very well. It's just a matter of going out there, asking questions, being yourself and you'll fit in easily! Good luck :)
