Is Your favorite Station Using Texting for Promotions & Contests?

There is a company that is getting a lot of press lately. They provide texting services to radio stations. For instance "Text 'Chevy' to_____ for a chance to win a new Chevy Truck!"

Is one of your favorite stations doing this? If so, how do you like it? Please go into detail. Thanks, all!

Yea.  A ton of stations are doing it now.  Especially with contests like you said.  One station near me gives a prize out daily to the 94th texter.  Kind of funny considering back in the day it was like the 94th caller.  I think it would be cool if you could find out the name of a song and the artist through a text message from the station.  I actually subscribe to the local sports radio station and they send me a text about local sports headlines and scores which is nice when I am out of town.  It's the new age, texting has overtaken calling.
