  1. What sort of driving will you do?  Is this inside the same size of car?  Like a Fiesta 1.1 or 1.6?  If you are trashing a 1.1 to try to get somewhere in a hurry, you may as well drive your 1.6 gently!

  2. if you mean 1.1 litre then yes it is cheaper then a 1.6 the 1.1 just telling you the engine size and capacity meaning 1.1 is only 2-3 cylinder where as a 2.0/2.5 litre is a 6 cylinder the bigger the engine / the more cylinders the more petrol you are using to run the engine but power wise if you want a little power a smaller engine isnt the way to go.

    hope this helps you :)

  3. i had a metro i.i and for some reason that used to drink the petrol reall quick i was getting about 20 miles to the gallon, i said i might asweel be driving a lamborghini, it cost a bomb in fuel.

  4. Buying a car depends on 2 things ... want and need. With your Q, it shows that you are worried about your rising petrol expenses. If you live and work within the city, a 1.1L engine will definitely be more economical than a 1.6L and you won't be needing that extra power the 1.6L gives. But if you live in the suburbs and need to travel back and forth for work, a 1.6L will be more advantageous for you. Also remember, that features of a car that comes with a 1.1.L engine are not as good as the standard features of a 1.6L car. The same goes for stability and reliability.

  5. YES, provided the 1.1 engine is in a good running condition

  6. It's not that simple, but as a rule, yes, a 1.1 should be more economical as I assume it'll also be in a smaller car.

  7. If both are in good running order the smaller the engine the less power used and also  less petrol consumed

  8. yes it is a 1.6 is a 1.6 litre which holds more petrol but goes faster than a1.1 litre which goes a little slower but burns less petrol

  9. A 1.1?  Why don't you just install a lawnmower engine?
