perfect for 1 or 2 hamsters I've got gerbils and its good size for them to run, hamsters do even less running so just make sure you get the right top otherwise they'll figure out how to climb out.

Yes but it's not the best place since it isn't very large for a wheel, which they love and because the only air comes from the top and can be smelly.  The good thing is it keeps the shavings in the cage and not on the floor.

A ten gallon tank is perfect for your hamster as long as it has a wheel.

I would say it is. That's about the same size as our hamster's cage. The big thing is to make sure they have regular access to exercise (a wheel is a requirement) and water (from a bottle, not a bowl). And, make sure there is enough hamster-appropriate bedding material for your pet to make a nest/bed out of. Have fun!

i'm sorry if you are sad to here this but if you would like to own 4 hamsters its very good for them if you put them in two different cages because the chances of one killing another is probably like 50% so to answer your question i am going to have to say no

DEFINETLY!!!  Just make sure you put everything that it need inside and make sure not to overfill the tank with stuff. Hamsters don't like it when there's small space in their home. I remember when i got my first hamster, i was so overprotective with it =]  GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR HAMSTER =]

I would get him a nice cage where he could get plenty of air. A tank can be rather hot for a furry friend.

Yes, if it is a moderate to small hamster a 10 gallon tank is plenty big. If it is verging on guinea pig, then no.

Just make sure the hamster has things to do in the tank, like put in a toilet paper roll or a paper egg crate, but not styrofoam.
