  1. Take the  boat for a ride in the water  where you intend to use it..also some  rough water  to see what it will  do.. Check the  bearing  on the wheels..jack up the tire on each side ..rotate the tire real HARD..if THERE IS A  griding  sound you need  new bearing..or just good grease job  before you BUY it..if it still makes grinding  sound..you will probably need  new  bearings..if that is  no problem  drive the trailer  down the  road a  couple  miles, stop,  Check  the  wheels  where the  bearing caps are,VERY GENTLY,, if you grab  them and they are  HOT you  could burn your hands severely.. if they  are  normal  that you can touch them it  might  be okay..if they  have grease fitting on the  bearing caps it may be  alright..but to  be  on the safe  side i would  take them off and see if their is  grease enough.. i have seen a  lot of small trailers sitting  by  the  highway with the  bearing  out.    ..sounds like a fair deal..take a small  rubber mallot/hammer with you..Tap LIGHTLY  around the  boat to see  if there is  something loose or  hollow..the  sound be  about the  same tapping around it..like  hitting a wood  board would s0und

  2. sounds like a bargain make sure gloss is fresh and the deal is not too good to be true

  3. Yeah that sounds alright.

  4. if the gel coat on the boat looks new and shiny, and the tires look good with no dry rot, yea it's a good buy. you might ask if he has any extra equipment like oars or life preservers to with it.
