  2. Well, if the 1229 is sum of the Math and Critical Reading parts only..then yeah, it's alright. But I think that's your overall score from the whole test (Math, Critical Reading, and Writing), so, to be completely blunt, that's not good at all. I think you should definetely study up (get a study guide from your local bookstore, refresh your skills, take practice tests) and retake it. A 1500 is a good goal for you--aim to get an average of 500 points in each subject area.
