Is a 1400 SAT score good?

I haven't taken it or anything yet I was just curious and I was thinking of the old system with the 1600 score! lol I am an all A student so I'm not worried! It was just a random question :)

On the old system, it's be GREAT.

On the new one, it'd depend on whether the 1400 had the Writing score (not the essay)  included. If the Writing score is included, it'd be really bad, but if not it'd be a VERY good score.

Colleges look at the math and critical reading scores the most.

On the old system, that would be an okay score, but on the new system which is scored out of 2400--that is terrible.  

Try taking it again.

if you are talking about the current scoring system, where a 2400 is the highest, than no, a 1400 is not good at all. sorry.

No, it is a 58.33  u take1400 divided by 2400 and u get 0.5833333 so u would get 58.33

1400 is not bad. Btw, just because a person is an A student, it doesn't mean that person will do well on the SAT. Doing well requires a lot of hard work and intelligence. The difficulty of getting A's is only relative to your school's rigor of curriculum. Many people with all A's do poorly on the SAT. While confidence is a good thing, don't think the SAT is a piece of cake. It just my bite you in the butt when least expected.
