My son took the SATs in 7th grade and scored a total of 1550. Is that considered good? I was told that the average high school senior scored a 1538.

  1. Thats really good! When I was in 8th grade, I scored a 1570.

  2. thats frickin awesome. i took em in 8th and scored like 1100 i think.

  3. no it sucks it means your gonna fail the grade and you have absolutely no future. good job.

  4. thats totally superb...he would surely do well next time . in 7th grade its awesum!!!

  5. What ever you heard about the average score is a lie, and if its still the same old 1600 scale h**l yes 1550 is a good score are you kidding!  I Have a brother who scored the same amount got perfect on the math portion and said he didn't fill like finishing the English section and he had skipped one math section because he figured out some how it was the non-scored section, talk about smart and lazy all at the same time!  He got a full ride scholarships to where ever he wanted to go, became an accountant because he was so good with numbers, burned out after only about 10 years as an accountant and is now a waiter somewhere in Texas!!! Almost forgot he has very little social skills, very weird personality,he is 11 years older than I and has always chased after Teens, seems to have very little common sense and can't save or manage a penny of his own money despite his ability to balance a companies affairs. So I hope your kid isn't so smart that he's not able to use his common sense social skills are very underrated.  My bother was and still is a Comic Book Geek and he was passed Geometry in the 7th grade as well. I'm 37 and I didn't take Geometry until my 12th grade year in high school and scored less that 1000 on my SAT's, I had high social skills, and today I'm a teacher with a Masters in Ed. Admin and will try to complete my PhD by the time I'm in my early 40's to start teaching college and other future teachers & Adminstrators!  Best of luck to you!

  6. I scored a 1480 my first time and a 1710 the second.  He is amazing if he scored that in 7th grade!  At least you won't be nervous in high school, lol.  And some seniors do score low, but not because they are stupid.  The number 2 in my graduating class scored, I believe,  a 1660.  Another kid, lower in rank, scored a 2130; he's very good with tests.  It's all about how you learn, process of elimination, and common sense.  Kaplan classes work well if you want to improve, or for anyone who's freaked about it and doesn't want to s***w up.

  7. Well I am asuming that this is the same 7th grade SAT that my brother just took.  This is NOT the same SAT that colleges look at.  My brother got a 1450 so a 1550 is pretty good.  It really doesn't mean anything though cuz the score doesnt do anything for him.  He has to take it again when he is a junior
