  1. you should retake it because a 16 out of 36 is not that good.

  2. It's not terribly good, sorry. However most people who retake it go up a few points. Try taking a class and buy a review book.

By the way, I don't agree that its equivalent to an 1190. I got a 28 on the ACT and an 1180 on the SAT.

  3. definitely take it again! If you are a junior, your last chance is in October.. if you are younger than you have some time. Make sure you study the format of the test and the types of questions they frequently ask.

  4. Of course you should retake it. To be honest, that is a terrible score. That's roughly the equivalent of a 1190/2400 on the SAT.  The national average is about a 21/36. So just to be average, you're going to have to raise your score 5 points.

Some students who perform poorly on the ACT find that they perform better on the SAT, so perhaps you should focus on the SAT rather than the ACT.

    Good Luck.

  5. the national average ACT range is around 21 so you should probably take it again but it depends on the colleges you want to apply to. You can go to http://www.princetonreview.com/college/t...  to see colleges you are thinking about
