  1. It's above average but not by a whole lot... your 28 ACT score is considerably better than a 1679 SAT.

  2. Yes It is OOOKKK

  3. Your score of 1679 is better than average. The average on the SAT exam is 1500. Thus, you were 279 pts above average. Although your score was above average, it is not a great score. If you are planning on getting into the more competitive UC schools such as Berkeley and UCLA, you mus get a higher score. I highly recommend using Tutorfox. Tutorfox.com sells its guide for only 10 dollars, and it written by two students who scored a 2400 and a 2350 on the exam. Let me know if you need any more help and/or info. With a bit more studying your score will sky rocket...so get to it.

I think you have a decent shot at getting into those schools, but you should study to ensure that you get in...

  4. first of all you didn't get a 1679. You don't add the numbers below writing that are next to multiple choice and essay, they are just subscores to show you how you did on those different parts of the writing section. You just ad the numbers right next to Critical reading, math, and writing. So I'm guessing you probably got around 1620, which is not very good to be honest. Like the answerer above said, use your 28 ACT score, it is MUCH better.

  5. You can not get a 1679, You only add up the Math, Writing and Critical thinking sections (Not the essay, the essay is included in the Writing section). You most likely got a 1670. But a 1670 is a pretty decent score (Above average- the national average being 1450). I think you should retake it if you have the time (Because chances are you are going to get higher). You can even get a prep book from Collegeboard (Offical prep book) made by the testmakers. And it is pretty helpful giving you practice tests, tips and tricks on how to crack the SAT and some tips on how to write  a good essay as well. And you can even go online and put in the answers on their website and they'll grade it for you and give you a actual score.

    =] I hope this helps.

    And good luck.
