I'm going to be a senior in high school next year. I got a 1790 on my SATs in December, and took them again in June but have no gotten back my scores. i have a 3.37 GPA and am applying to Barnard College. UCONN. UMASS. SUNY- Purchase. Northeastern University. Boston University. American University and Western Connecticut state university.

Do I have decent chance of getting in?

  1. That is a good score. Maybe you can take one more shot at the SATs in early October, and your scores will still be in before November, if you're applying early decision. That way, you'll have more time to study for them during the summer. Your GPA isn't bad, but you can try to get it a little higher. Maybe take some summer courses at a community college, because they give credit there, which may help. Go to the website of your potential colleges and look up thier statistics on SAT scores and GPA's to see what the average is. That way, you'll know what level you're on. Good luck.

  2. It's a good score, but I would say to try to get them a bit higher, at least into the high 1800-low 1900 range. Also, really focus in school this last year in order to boost your GPA. Again, it's good, but it can be better.

As for the colleges, look on the colllegeboard website and research what each school is looking for.

Hope this helps and good luck :)
