  1. If you feel it is worth that then that is it's value.

Value is determined by how much someone else is willing to pay (so I'm told anyway)

  2. did you ever hear of the bus.... it travels all over as well.... but if it is what you want then sure... get it drive it till it drops then junk it. just dont stick alot of money into it other than just plain normal maintainance stuff... tune-ups, tires... that sort of stuff!

  3. Neons are hardly known for reliability or performance. They feel cheap and behave cheap, with resale values compared to better subcompacts bearing this out. That said 1300$ is a good price for a '99 Neon, so it might make an okay backup if it's in good repair and has decent milage.

Have you looked at Escorts? They also have very depressed resale values because of the Ford moniker, but use decent Mazda internals for good reliability. There's so many on my college camps, even more than Cavaliers and Civics.

  4. If you are desperate for a good running car, you really should take it to a mechanic and spend $100 or so to have him look at it for your answer.

  5. does it smoke? have good tires? Don't just buy anything if your desperate take it to a reputable mechanic before buying and have it checked over. If seller is rushing you to buy or has a problem with you getting car checked first then keep looking and "NEVER trust a used car salesperson".

  6. One of my vehicles is a '97 Neon.  For what it is, it's a great little car that is good on gas, easy to maintain and is cheap to insure.  I'd have no hesitations in recommending a Neon assuming that it was well looked after by the previous owner.

  7. yup it is....

  8. Yes, I loved my neon (before I flipped it) and you will love that one too. You had better it for that price!

It is good on gas too!

  9. ammm...if its in good condition!

  10. It should be a good car as long as it has been taken care of.

  11. i need a car badly but i cant pay that much.

  12. yep. i have a 1998. runs well and is great on gas mileage.
