I'm looking at a 2004 cavalier with 58k miles and was a rental car in Florida. Could it also be decent in a Syracuse winter.

  1. id rather get a civic, hyundai elantra, mazda 3, honda fit.  take a look at these first.  im sure theres one here that suits your needs well and there all better than a cavalier.  but the fits are new so a bit more expensive

  2. yes cavaliers are good cars period, they give real good service and cause very little problems, one with that few of miles on it should be in good shape, but id have it checked just to be sure,id say you have found a pretty nice car, good luck with it.they go good in the snow also, front wheel drive cars all go good in bad weather.

  3. no

    they are not that reliable.

and don't buy a former rental car, sure they had oil changes and regular maintenance but so what the renters don't drive with the care that a private owner would.
