  1. high 2 doors

  2. Its not a sports car to anyone but an insurance company.  They tend to view any 2 door cars to be sporty.  Any 16 yr olds insurance will be expensive.

The only place you will get a real idea of insurance prices is to call up several and get some quotes.  They can vary widely based on the company, car, location, driver, driver history, and mileage you will drive.

  3. The Chrysler Sebring convertible is a mid-size convertible manufactured by Chrysler, as a replacement for the Chrysler Le-Baron and now in its third generation — currently available as both a retractable hardtop and softop.

For 2001, the Sebring Convertible was redesigned, and it now shared most of its sheetmetal with the sedan, though it still differed greatly from the coupe, with the front fascia and most of the interior being the only thing these cars had in common. Many interior and exterior components were carried over from the first generation car, though the body shell underneath is significantly different. The Sebring received minor styling revisions (mostly the appearance of the nose)

Since it is a mid-size car it might not be considered a sports car unless the insurance companies classify convertibles as sports cars. But at her age the insurance rate would he very high. It also depends on what motor is in it, the bigger motor the faster the car

Good Luck to her but tell her not to hold her breath until she gets one.

    Have a nice day.

  4. Two doors often means higher insurance. However it's not about convincing anyone, look at the insurance price and if it is prohibitive compared to a Corolla then use your common sense.

  5. That would be very expensive on insurance.

    She has no job.

    She has no credit.

    She is unmarried.

She does not own a house. (collateral)

    It is a sports car,

    and it is a convertible.

And mom will have to co-sign
