Is a 2006 Hot Tub 6 man fairly good shape to the eye but havent seen the pump or any plumbing worth a truck?

They want to trade a 1995 Dodge Truck half ton good shape runs good for this hot tub. The hot tub is a 2006 6 man hot tub. havent seen plumbing or anything but they say it works. I dont know if hot tubs hold value or what to look for as things that could possibly b a problem now or later on.

I would not buy any item that i cannot see work...Do you buy a car and not test drive it?
