  1. noooooo

  2. NO.

It is a Luxury mid-sized sedan. It has the same luxury as Audi's and BMW's and Mercedes's.

It is in no way a sportscar. It has a soft suspension for smooth rides and it has a quiet ride and leather.

It does not look or feel like a sportscar.

  3. The new Passat is just another four-door sedan, a family toter. It does have a turbocharged engine, but it's a 2.0 liter - made for fuel efficiency, not acceleration.

Volkswagen's newer products (excluding the GLI, GTI and R32 models) do not offer the same sporty German handling characteristics that they used to be known for. They do, however, offer a German heritage and some premium features not usually found in their individual segments, but they're also more expensive, sometimes very much so, than most of their competitors when looking at same-size vehicles (like Jetta versus Corolla, and Passat versus Camry and Accord).

Maybe the Passat CC (Upcoming coupe-like sedan model) could be considered a sports car - check that one out if you're interested in something that would make both of you correct, if only on a technicality :)

    Best of luck!
