  1. Sorry, no. If you're gone at school or work, the poor little guy has to be stuck in there waiting for you to come home and play with him\her. Floor time is good but a good cage is better.

  2. No - even if your guinea pig is outside the cage for 3 hours a day, that's still 21 hours inside that cage.

Guinea pigs are about 9 inches long. Don't confine an animal to a cage that they can't turn around in, let alone run around in.

For one guinea pig, you'll want around 8 square feet of cage floor space, more if possible.

Guinea pigs get their reputation as boring pets that never move because so many people keep them in tiny cages where they CAN'T move. If a guinea pig has enough space, you'll see that they can be very active and really do need large spaces to live in.

Lots of floor time is great, but it's no substitute for proper housing.

  3. No.

    Not enough at all.

What happens when you're at school or work all day? It gets stuck in that tiny thing until you get home?

  4. no.

  5. Not even close.  Even with plenty of floor time your guinea pig is going to be spending hours in that tiny cage.  You can build a much bigger C&C cage for very little money.  They are easy to put together and very easy to clean.

  6. I wouldn't put my hamsters in a cage that small.  I definetly wouldn't use it for a guinea pig.
