Is a 25 dollar gift card a reasonable gift for a baby shower gift?

Yes, that is just fine.    Many people just go overboard to see who can look the best at what they give to make themselves look good.    Then it becomes all about them and not the baby.    25 dollar gift card is perfect.

yes-I think it's perfectly fine. Make it a Visa or Master Card debit card, and it can be combined with other cards or cash and used to buy almost anything the mother desires.

Yes, it's reasonable. Don't feel bad about it, especially if you feel she only invited you to get a gift from you.
