  1. it's a good score. like a 1300 on the SAT.

  2. Your math needs some improvement. It's not a bad score, nor is it a good score. However, good and bad is relavant to what ever school your applying to. If your planning to apply to any Ivyleague, Stanford, MIT, Caltech, or any school similar to these, no it's not a good score. However, if your applying to UNiversity of Washington, Unviersity of Wisconsin, University of Ilinois, then your score is great! I don't see how your scores could reflect a good electrical engineer or any engineer for that matter, because ACTs are much more simple than any engineering program.

  3. Wow that first person is way off. A 27 on the ACT is equivalent to an 1820 on the SAT. You can check out the comparisons here:  http://www.spartanburg6.k12.sc.us/dhs/Gu...

Since the average on the ACT is 21.1, i would say that you scored very well. As far as the reflection on being an electrical engineer, i would say that it really is impossible to tell based on the exam. You do need to be somewhat intelligent, which a score of a 27 shows you are, but i mean the reading and english sections are completely useless to an electrical engineer. The science section is also fairly useless, since most questions are based on biology and the environment and things that an electrical engineer doesn't need to know about. However, they do need to know math, which you scored highest in.

So overall, good job. You should realize that these scores really have no bearing on how well you will do at a job in the future, save for maybe if you score 15 or something, in which case you have your work cut out for you. I am sure that there are successful electrical engineers out there who scored 18 on the ACT, and some who scored 33. What matters more is how hard you apply yourself to learning the trade, something the ACT really can't measure.

However, based on your interest i would say that you can be an electrical engineer if that's what you set your mind to.

  4. What the h**l are you smoking? a 1300 isn't good at all. raise your standards for goodness sakes.
