  1. The Ubiquitous 350 is an engine block. It can be outfitted with diffrent head, piston, and crank to change the compression ratio.  The intake manifold and exhaust manifolds can be tuned for the specific rpm range.  Specific configurations have names like the LS-1 or LT-1.

    Other than the "Corvette" engine, you can use regular pump gas.


  2. considered a low compression engine regardless of the intake, heads or anything else.  regular gas is fine.
