Is a '95 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera SL a good car with 40,000 miles?

Is there any good Dodge,Chrysler,Plymouth cars and also is the 2.7 motor good in these cars?I heard that the motor to stay away from.

Yes, with 40,000 miles the 3.1L engine in that car is definitely going to last a long time.  However, keep in mind that around 90,000 to 100,000 miles many of the 3.1L have lower intake manifold gasket failures.  If this happens, this MUST be replaced to avoid severe engine damage/failure down the road.  Not a big deal, as long as you keep it in mind, and plan accordingly (considering it ever does happen to your car).

    However, with such low mileage on such a nice car, you should definitely hang onto it.  They are very reliable and will last you for years, as long as they are maintained.

    I don't know much about the 2.7L, though.  I know a few people with it, but they haven't had them long enough to really tell whether or not they are excellent.
