Is a 4 on the essay section of the sat bad?

um yea....4/10 is like a 2/6 which is failing.  try to really give examples and use high level vocab.

do you mean like total? or one reader's grade?

total, a four isn't very good.

If you got a four just by one reader, it is okay. Like satisfactory, that's what I got. I was a little disappointed and I am going to work on my writing for next time.

its not the best. next time try to fill up the whole two pages they give you. and give more examples to back up your arguments.
