I can get a new hp laptop with 4GB RAM and a 200 GB hard drive with a 2.0GHz processor for around $850 it has everything i need, and seems will be really fast and work well for everyday use (surfing the web, chatting, just basic stuff, no gaming etc).

But it has a 4200 RPM hard drive. Is that too slow? Otherwise it has EVERYTHING, and a big processor, alot of RAM. Will it be slow at 4200 RPM??

  1. it will be fine, dont panic, you wont even notice the difference between your speed, and the next fastest one.

  2. you wont notice for everyday use you need the faster speeds when it comes to quick access like gaming or heavy graffic programs

  3. That has to be a misprint. Hard drives start out at 5400 rpm.
