Question:

Is a 450 supposed to have a throttle delay?

I just bought a RMZ450, and I took it around my neighbor hood, and noticed that there was at least a second delay between the time I would twist the throttle to when the rear wheel would hook up.

I'm just wondering if this is normal in a 4 stroker, I was riding 2 strokers and the throttle was instant, and now there is a delay.

Also the engine was cold and fairly hard to start, could this have contributed to the throttle delay?

Thanks.

do you know if the carb is jetted right?

also it will delay if your engine is cold

so warm your bike up for a good 15 mins just taken it easy then try to hit the throttle and see if it  does it

email if you want more info
