We just bought a 52" TV - we have a pretty big family room and the couch is 16 feet from the TV.

is 52" too big - we can't decided if it's too much TV or if we are just not use to looking at such a big screen. we have 30 days to return for a 46" so we need to decide. thoughts.

  1. to each their own.  Personally, I have a 57" and wish I had room for 70".  We replaced a 42" with the 57", and when we first got the 42" we thought, "this thing is HUGE".  Now, a 42" would be like watching an old 13" black and white.  My advice, admire the features, play around and learn everything about it, and once you have it all figured out, you'll be glad you kept it.

  2. NO, it's not too big! If anything, it's too small for optimal viewint, sitting 16' from the screen. See:

  3. i think that you're just not used to the tv yet.  in my opinion, the price of the 46 is probably not that much less than the 52.  that being the case, why would you lose out on more screen for the money.  after all...football season is coming and you will want all the extra pixels you can get every sunday.

  4. No it definitely isn't. I actually think it's too small. I have a 52 in. TV and my couch isn't 16 ft. away and it doesn't  seem too big.

  5. my personal opinion is yes. i would much rather have a 46 or even a bit smaller than that.

  6. too big for a 48" wall.
