Is a 6 year old boy, too young for a Game Boy?

My 6 year old grandson loves to play the games on my cell phone while we are driving. I thought perhaps I would buy him a Nintendo Game Boy for Christmas. Is he too young?

  2. No, generally some kids start with Gameboy at about age 4.

    If you decide to buy one just be sure you buy from someone who is well informed about games so they can help you choose games that are age appropriate for your Grandson.

  3. nope my brothers have been playing for about 2 years now and he is 6 and 8 now this  year they just got the Nintendo DS, i think he is old enough b/c can play on a cellphone which is toughter b/c of all of the numers and game boy is very entartaining, but get an easy game (for starters so he can get use to it) like car racing games or sonic

  8. no not at all.  itll be good for hand eye coordination.  just make sure u limit the time that he plays on it.
