  2. 6:30 is really good!

    Great job!!

You can possibly improve by 15 seconds if you really wanted to!

    =]]

  3. eh it's pretty agerave. soem guys can make it in the 4's tho.

  4. These guys are dumb. You're not a guy. You're a girl. And 6:30 is pretty good for a girl that's coming into freshman year. Also, you'll get much better after some training. Maybe even go under 6! :)

  5. 6:30 is good for a mile

  6. Actally thats pretty fast just keep practiceing and to get faster times on your mile run stairs to.

  7. Maybe to 5:30 if you're good.  And 6:30 by my standards isn't all that slow.  I play soccer and I ran a 5:50 (Freshman year). =)

  8. No, it's pretty good. Good job and good luck sweetie

  9. mhm its not super fast. but you will get much faster in the next few years.

When i was a freshman, i normally ran 800 but for my mile i think i got like 5:15. this year i ran it a few more times as a softmore, and got 5:04. But its all about how much work you put into it during the off season.

  10. in competition, maybe, but i'd be glad to run a mile in 6:30

  11. why do you high school kids wonder if anything under 8 minutes is slow??? I can't seem to get out of 10 minutes myself, but I'm 27 and still at the same weight I was three months ago and because of the stupid california fires and smoke, it has made me slow down.

    YES 6:30 min/mile IS GOOD.

  12. its good but if ur doing cross country ur gonna want to get it a lot faster

  13. A 6:30 mile should be enough to get the coaches attention. In one season you might be able to get it from 6:00 to 6:15 with hard work. But, cross country requires you to run much farther than that. If you can keep that up for 2 or more  miles, it might matter more.

  14. i did cross country as a freshmen too and i was running a 7 minute mile, in a month my coach had me doing a 6 flat mile so i think u will do very good, the fastest girl on our team was 6 and half and she finished 4th in the state of florida so ur well on ur way, btw know i run a 5:20 mile and am doing the 5k in under 17 minutes so good luck
