The 1 Bedroom is in a very nice neighborhood with all new renovations this year. The price is $825 INCLUDING ALL UTILITIES. I think it's great! But, is it large enough for my fiance and I?

  1. Its do-able. It's not too small but it does fall into the small category. Depends really how much you or your fiance enjoy having your space - If your a person who likes to be alone then things could get tight.

  2. Hi,

I live in New York City where it's not uncommon to find couples who live in apartments with less than 500 sq ft and they do just fine. I actually live in a 400 sq ft apartment and it's not bad at all. I've actually hosted 3 people in my place with no problems. So if 4 people can live in my place comfortably for one week than I don't see why 2 can't live comfortably all the time. I see it this way, here you are with a 650 sq ft apartment in "very nice neighborhood with all new renovations"  and I know couples who would kill for such a place, especially at that price!!! If I were you I'd consider myself lucky and go for it. Who cares what everyone else thinks? You said, "I think it's great!" That's all that matters. :)

  3. OMG! I currently live in a 900 sq. ft. apartment for $900/ mo. and let me tell you that it is hard I cannot imagine 900 sq. ft. you will not have storage and not enjoy company coming over to visit let alone having overnight guest. Try to see if you can get more sq. ft. for that same amount if it is affordable for you. It is easier to grow within the space rather than outgrow a space and still have to stay the remainder of the lease. Trust me!

  4. You will be tripping over each other..   650 square feet is small,  so if you are not attached to your personal space it will be ok.

  5. it depends on how much you like each other!!

if there's enough closet space, you can usually make do fairly well in a small space. if both of you love to cook, make sure the kitchen is large enough to accommodate you both at the same time. and a dishwasher is absolutely necessary to keep the counter tops freed up.

if everything does double duty (eg; ottoman that has storage, shelves with hooks underneath to hang things, etc) you'll find space savings there.

also, decide how long you might want to stay there. if it's only for a year, you can certainly put up with that and move onto something bigger if you feel the need.

  6. As long as you don't mind being very cozy.  That's a minimally sized unit, and my wife and I would NEVER tolerate such small accommodations.

  7. you will be running into each other/

you will dind out its not big enough for two full time residents

  8. my husband and I live in a 1br 600sqf apt... we hate it and are trying to move out...if you don't fight at all then okay...but trust me with marriage comes inevitable arguements.
