Is a 696 credit score descent?

My average score from all 3 major credit institutions is 696, im 20 and have been using credit cards for 2 yrs. do you think this is acceptable for my age or did you average higher from my same scenario? detailed feedback plz

  2. yes it's decent.  You have limited history but thats because of your age.  If you keep paying your bills on time as you get older and establish more lines of credit (auto, home), open more accounts, and have a longer history of paying ontime that number will get even higher

Your score is great for 20 years old!  I disagree with "just say no" on adding car loans, more cards etc.  The more credit you accumulate the lower your score goes.  I'm not saying don't buy a car or home, just don't go out & get a bunch of revolving debt (credit cards).  Keep those you have at 50% or less of available credit.  I suggest no more than 3 credit cards ever.  It's great that at 20 years old you are smart enough to care about your credit.  So many don't realize that your credit history is so important.  Good job!!
