  1. 900 is a very low score to get on the sat

2000+ is hard to get on the sat (2400 is the absolute highest)

study and try to go for 1400+

or 1800+ if you wanna go to to a good university

  2. -If you're talking about 900/2400 then no, i mean as long as your brain functions you can do it. That means you'd average a 300 on each section, which is well below average. I mean the lowest you can get on a section is 200.

And even if you're talking about 900/1600, it's not that hard. That means you'd average about 450 on each section, which is still below average.

  3. are you kidding me, that is a low score. it's soooo easy to even get a 1600. i'm aiming for over 1900...just need to study for it...taking the SAT in october. :]

  4. Not as a total score. 800 is the highest possible score you can get on each of the three sections.

  5. Not at all. When I was in seventh grade I got a 930 on the SAT. Course, that was in georgia so I don't know how the standards are differing from what you are taking, but still. In tenth grade I got an 1100. Without the essay part. So a 900 shouldn't be too hard to get.

  6. no.. you get like 600 for writing your name.. so it's kinda pathetic if you only got 900

  7. Um, not really... Full is 2400 (it used to be 1600 until the COollegeboard, ets, added a new writing section to bring it up to 2400pts) Its 800pts per section so if you got 900pts, you would average 300points per test. The scoring for each test starts at 200pts.

  8. The maximum SAT score is 2400 (800 for each section). If you only wrote your name on the test, you would get a 600 (200 points for each section).

For every question you answer correctly, you earn one point. For every incorrect answer, you lose a quarter (0.25) of a point. If you do not answer a question, you neither lose nor gain anything.

I recommend that you take the test again if possible. You can drastically improve your score if you don't answer some of the questions.

Using the power of elimination (eliminating answer choices that you know are incorrect) can help. Once you eliminate some wrong answers, you can guess. In terms of guessing, if you can eliminate 3 of the 5 answer choices, then guess. If you can eliminate 1 or 2 out of the 5 choices, it's your call whether to guess or not. If you cannot eliminate any of the answer choices, leave the question blank.

Check out http://www.sat-tutors-blog.com/blog/_arc... for more about how to convert the raw score (basically how many points you earned--see above for how to find it) into the scaled score.
