Is a 94 iq score good for a 14 year old??

so i just took a iq test and i got 94. i asked my family if it was good and they didnt know so i came here to ask i hope it is good :)

A 94 IQ isn't doing you much good if you don't know how to look up IQ scores. That is what I'd judge my smarts on if I were you.

Yes, 100 is "average" but really average IQ is 85 - 115. That means that someone with an IQ of 110 is not necessarily smarter than you. If you took the same test again, it's possible you would get 100, or 112 or 89, in other words, anything within the 85 to 115 range is average. The responses that said 94 is below average are wrong. You have to have below 85 to be below the average range.

dont forget if you take an IQ test online it's not going to be legit. if you really want to know your real IQ you have to go to a testing facility.

100 is average at any age.

The formula is mental age / physical age * 100.

94 is slightly below average, but well within normal parameters.

The vast majority of the population is between 90 and 110.

Keep in mind that these tests never test one's entire intelligence.  They tend to be left brain biased, (logic) and neglect some areas altogether (music, art.)

They also tend to be biased towards a white, middle class education.  In particular, the language and analogy portions really require you to have had excellent english training to score well.

A person speaking English as a second language will almost always get a lower score than a native speaker if their REAL intelligence is the same.

Also, don't trust any IQ test that doesn't take several hours to write. The 20 questions on the web type test doesn't give a reliable result at all.

the average score is 100 for everyone.  the test is based on your age and gender.  so the questions are different for every age.  100 is the average.  i believe below 70 is considered mentally retarded and above 130 is considered genius

Its a little bit below average, which makes perfect sence why you came here to ask instead of just looking it up yourself and using resources. Research will tell you more than some people just bored scanning questions on Yahoo Answers. Research is facts- what answers we are giving you is opinons.
