Question:

Is a B.A. in pure math an impractical choice with a B.S. in chemistry?

As far as the job market goes? What kind of employers would like this combination from someone right out of school (I'm not going to graduate school)? I ask because I'm halfway into both degrees but can easily turn the math into an applied math or something more marketable if it will be hard for me to get a job where i can use both.

  1. Any degree where you learn to think critically is a good college degree.  I certainly found that my BS in pure math helped me when I worked in industry.

    That being said, I would adivise you to take a statistics class and maybe a couple of finance classes.
