Is a BA in Islamic studies in UK as good as a BA from a Muslim university like Al Azhar?

Well, they both offer excellent theoretical and textual teachings but when it comes to the practicalities of munitions and firearms use Al Azhar hands down. IMHO.

You probably would learn similar material as al-Azhar mostly focuses on the Ash'aree 'Aqeedah. And they teach other deviant beliefs without correcting them.

But in comparison to the Islaamic university of Madeenah or Umm al Quraa then there's no way any University in the west can compare.

Why Sunnis hate education?

Even Al-Azhar is build by Shias.

Al Azhar was a great university but now it is controlled by a dog named Mubarak.

Depends on where you intend to apply it.

Why not do Bachelors from one and Masters from the other? ;)

they are all good...but al Azhar is another thing,it's the greatest islamic institution in the world.

as long as we keep shias' hands off it,it will be the best once again.
