I have a friend who is a resident of Canada. They obtained a one year Working Holiday VISA which had to be renewed after 6 months. They left the country and obtained a re-entry permit, but didn't get the VISA extended due to language confusion. They currently have a ticket that goes from Nagoya to Canada. Unfortunately this ticket includes a five day stopover in San Francisco because the airplane to Canada was fully booked....are they able to land in the US, or are they barred from entry from the immigration officer?

  1. As long as he doesn't have a criminal record he can enter the US.

  2. It is quite understandable, so it will be okay.
