  1. My first car was a used '99 Cavalier.   I bought it 5 years ago for about the same price and at 65,000 miles

I would usually get about 400 miles on a full tank(14 gallon).  That's 28 mpg

I still drive it today and it runs fine.

  2. Good first car, Pretty good on gas. Price is fair. Overall a 8 out of 10 buy.

  3. Kris the 2003 chevy cavalier will make you a great first car.The 2.2 liter Ecotec engine puts out 140 HP and post the best fuel milage over all early model cavaliers. These are safe and fun cars to drive. The auto trans models get 24 city and 33 hwy MPG and the manual trans models get 26 city and 33 hwy MPG.This means with its 14.1 gallon fuel tank you have lots of miles between fill ups.Keep up on the normal maintance and this car will last for a really long time.I myself bought a 2003 cavalier new and have over 55.000 miles on it.No problems just the normal maintance oil changes, filters and front brakes.Have fun and drive safe. The 2003 cavalier is a great car.Best of luck.

  4. well first you should have a got a honda civic last longer and are cooler

    but look on www.kbb.com

under where you got it from either a dealer or private seller

yea i think its good on gas any 4 banger is good

i live in the usa so what is 106000km

  5. Thats a lot of money for roughly 65k miles.  They dont look real pretty and the interior is cheap.  They are very reliable mechanically and do get good mileage.

  6. It's good compared to a Yugo, but not to a Civic.

  7. the milage sounds really high for that price, I have had 2  only beacuse the first one I bought cause it was all I could affordand the second one someone gave to me cause i sure wouldn't have bought another. Plus I think they are rather small too.And to answer your last ? yes they are good on gas,

  8. I use to have a Cavalier a 1998

    123.000+ miles

they are good on gas and not bad on maintenance. The biggest thing is the body dents kinda easy and the engines have  noisy valve trains

sounding like a sewing machine running at top speed.

other than that if you don't plan to keep it no longer than 2 or 3 years you should be ok.

remember  its not a Nissan, Mazda, Toyota, Mitsu, or Honda.

The Chevy Impala is a better Engineered car

  9. I own a 2003 Cavalier myself, and I like it even thought it is small.  I haven't had any problems with it for the 4 years I have had it.  Also it gets good gas mileage, especially just driving around town.

  10. All I can say is I hope you have better luck with your 2003 than I am with my sons 2001 cavalier. And they are good on gas.
