    Here is a good site to research Eurail Passes.

    Notice that you can buy a pass for German only or for Germany plus one or more other countries.  Be sure to click where it says to click for additional information.  There you will see what additional forms of transportation are covered by the Eurail Pass.  It just so happens that I researched this on this site for myself yesterday!!!  I would suggest that you print off a copy as the information is in English.  Enjoy your vacation!

  2. If you buying train ticket in Germany like you are going Berlin or Hamburg and this train ticket you can use also for the public subways (U-Bahn) or the Strassenbahn, S-Bahn all that. But not for every city only for the city you are arrived.

  3. No. The Eurailpass is only valid on local and long-distance trains and the local S-Bahn trains in Berlin and Munich which are (technically) operated by the Deutsche Bahn.
