  1. he's obviously jealous... yeah sure you might be a rich boy, but if you enjoy rockin it on the axe, then rock on... **** everyone elses opinions, do what you enjoy.... tip tho from an older dude: no one is born with talent, any good guitarist has practised for minimun an hour a day up to 12!!hours a day (slash and the rest of them)..... download the 'cracked' version of 'guitarpro5' from limewire type in guitarpro you should see a few... its a software program that will help enormously with learning all your fave bands ( lets u loop single bars at %25 speed for technical solos etc).... oh you'll have to download from limewire gprotabs aswell (in a .zip or .rar [compressed]file they should be).... make sure you get that program, its unreal, you'll be better than your jealous m8s in no time(with practice - which you'll enjoy with gpro)......

  2. I got my Les Paul Standard after about 5 or 6 years. I've had it since 1992.  They are the best constructed guitars out there. Still though, take good care of it. Your friends are just jealous.  Mine were too.  On the other hand, they are made for the pros, although, the pros actually customize theirs.  Whatever...  I had the chance to try out the generic version (Epiphone) once and I wouldn't want to play that little TOY, even if I had only been playing for 3 years.

Do you find it heavy?  Mine has done a number on my shoulder over the years, although, not using proper technique on the classical guitar might have had something to do with that.

  3. Fall Out Boy and Jonas brothers guitar players have Custom. Supreme and Standard Gibson Les Paul's. And they can't play anything else but power chords. And some people only buy expensive Gibson's just to hang in their living rooms! The amount of time or skill level doesn't matter. Your friends are maybe jealous?
