Is a Gibson Sg-3 better than a Gibson Sg Standard?

They are the exact same price but the SG-3 has an extra pickup. Im pretty sure the Sg-3 has '57 Humbuckers on it and the SG Standard has 498's on it.

The SG had a problem back in the days. The guitar was cracking around the area where the neck meets the body as well as around the input jack.

It is a good guitar although it is still top heavy.

The SG-3 has a nicer finish, extra middle pick-up. This guitar is better made, more versatile and the overall finish is slightly better although I don't know why.

The '57 humbuckers are nice on the Sg-3 . personally, i prefer the SG-3 .

it depends what music you play it gives different sound but there similar the sg 3 has more so id go with it

um well in my opinion i like the gibson sg standard!they both rock!
