  1. sure why not!!!

  2. no they are not the same a hen house is a building where the chickens lay eggs and roost at night. a chicken coop is a small boxlike structure used to hold a few chickens until you have time to sell or butcher or otherwise transfer them.

  3. I think the main difference is the part of the country where you happen to be at.

  4. A chicken coop, a hen house, a chicken house, and a chicken run are all terms that could be used interchangeably. The term hen house, though, actually refers to a house built for laying hens and maybe a rooster or two.  It differs from a regular chicken house or coop in that it contains nest boxes far laying and a roost for the hens at night.

  5. nope, a hen house is full of female chickens with boxes primarily for egg laying and a chicken coop is a secure location for both males and females to stay.  they mostly sleep in a chicken coop and are let out during the day to eat bugs grass and drink.  they are commonly interchangable and most hen houses and chicken coops and both "can" sevre the same purpose.  kinda like a street and a highway.  different meanings but can be used interchangably and serve the same purpose.

  6. Yes.

  7. Which one would you want a Fox to Guard ? If the answer is neither, then they must both be the same !

  8. As far as I know.... My Granpa called it both and he still raises chickens

  9. I believe a hen house is a chicken coop for just girl chickens.  I would recommend going to Murray McMurray (murraymcmurray.com) hatcheries on line.  They have all kinds of information.  (No I do not work for McMurray - I've only used it)
