Is a Hobbit's Burrow, home or whatever Fireproof?

Zeus knows why I thought of this. Popped in me head while working.

It's built in a Hill Mound right? Peat and Earth and such.

Might make an interesting experiment this. At the bottom of my Garden there is a suitable Mound, befitting for an authentic Burrow.

Then there is this Dwarf down in the Village.

I'll give him a rang now. . . . .

  1. Yes.  You need to use gas, like with badgers.


  2. I would think it would be most fire proof. By the way...if your going to try to build one, and it looks like something out of LOTR, would you like a room mate?!!

  3. Unless the decomposing peat fills your home with methane, in that case it is explosive.
