  1. That is a very long way to go in a very old campervan. It takes about 5 days of non-stop driving to get from Sydney to Perth, and probably the same from Perth to Darwin. If I was you I'd get a bit newer car, because if the car breaks down due to mechanical failure in the middle of nowhere you could be stranded.

Otherwise, make sure you always have plenty of emergency supplies - torches, blankets, heaps of water etc.

  2. Go diesel LPG might be a cheap fuel you will go 3 times as far on a litre of diesel than a litre of gas you can buy diesel anywhere but not gas the current price of gas is 65 cents a litre diesel is about $1.45 per litre so it will cost you 3 litres of gas at $1.95 to go the same distance of 1 litre of diesel at about $1.45 multiple that by thousands of kilometres which is cheaper

  3. be OK if it runs on petrol as well. LPG  may be hard to get in some places

  4. I would go to this site,as don't trust everything they tell you here.I think this will tell you what you want to know about refuelling around Australia and more.http://www.lpgautogas.com.au/
