  1. it's a MARINE! From Private to 4 Star, they are ALL respectable ranks! Earning the title isn't exactly a walk in the park!

Oh yes, it is very respectable among the junior ranks.  When a Lance Corporal gets promoted to Corporal, he/she had a huge amounts of responsibility than they had before.  The base pay of a Corporal as of 2008 is between 1,758 (with 2 or less years) to 2,135 (with 6 and above years).  Base pay means that nothing taken out yet-before taxes, SSN, medicaid, retirement, etc...

  4. Yes it is, must be E-4 before you can advance. And it is the first rank of a NCO (Non Commissioned Officer). And a Leadership rank.

    As for the second part of your question I believe you can look that up on-line. (but it isn't enough for what is asked of our military)

    And don't you think it is stupid for Military Personal to pay tax's? (as they are paying their own wages)
