Is a Marrazza accordion a trustable brand name in accordions?

I'm thinking of buying it off a friend who doesn't use it but I don't want to get something that will be junk in a few months. Does anyone have any words of advice or comments on the brand? Much appreciated.

  4. 4 months ago, is anyone still reading? I bought a Selmer Invicta, 48 bass accordion, 51 years ago (and still learning to play it), but always wanted a 120 bass. Two years ago I passed a pawn shop where this accordion was in the window. It was on consignment so after a bit of negotiations & a phone I bought it for, what I thought, a very good price. Bellows very clesn & tight. It has 10 keyboard voices + the master, a master return bar. It has 4 button voices + the master. Also fitted to it is an Premier electronic pick up. Now I have to learn more bass buttons

  5. My mother recently passed away in the UK. I have come across her Marrazza accordion which I believe she bought in Canada around 1950. I remember her playing it alot as a kid and most recently as 5 years ago and it sounded beautiful, so it's not a rubbish piece of kit. The family want to sell it now (we can't play it) so if there is any interest, please email me at alainhaggar@hotmail.com.
