Question:

Is a NVidea 8400 256MB graphics card (plus a dedicated graphics card) ok to play The Sims 3?

and a intel core 2 duo celeron 2ghz its a hp pavillion dv6907 laptop with 2Gb RAM. I am getting this laptop for my birthday and i was wanderin if it would play the sims 3 as ive checked if it would run the sims 2 and ive been told it will.

    No, 256mb graphics card is more than enough to handle The Sims 3.

    Maybe the other things won't play on highest settings, though I doubt that.

    But it should handle it, on highest settings, but when you install custom content or another expansion pack then be prepared to lower your graphics in the game.
