I know just a metro card is, but what about the 'pass' that lets see attractions for free and bypass the lineups

  1. It depends on what you're going to do, but it was cheaper for us to get a 3-day metro card for the subway system and then pay individually for the museums.  We went to the Lourve and the Orsay museums, and it was cheaper just to pay for those individually than to buy the pass.

  2. The pass you are talking about is the Paris museum pass. This pass is not connected to the Metro.

The official website for the Museum pass is here: http://www.parismuseumpass.com/en/home.p...

The cost of the pass is 30 euros for two days. 45 euros for 4 and 60 euros for 6.

The pass is not a savings unless you plan on going to more than one museum per day.

For a tourist who intends many quick visits to many sights it is worth buying.

The wisest plan is to map out your itinerary and then compare the costs of the individual sights with the cost of the pass.
