Is a PhD in Public Health worth it, if I had to go into debt $90,000?

In the current job environment, most of us must borrow against our future success.

So, you will probably be debt burdened, no matter the discipline you attempt to master.

The bigger question is if you can justify, monetarily speaking, that investment in the public health field, rather than other disciplines such as medicine or engineering.  I personally doubt it.

The other side of the argument is that money isn't everything.  You may find a deeper and more long lasting fulfillment in Public Health.  Your call.
